Sentinel 5000Multi-scan Metal Detector
Overcome the limitations of fixed single or dual frequency metal detectors with the Thermo ScientificTM SentinelTMMulti-scan Metal Detector. By scanning up to five user-selectable frequencies running at a time, the Sentinel provides unmatched sensitivity and the highest probability of finding ferrous, non-ferrous, and stainless steel metal contaminants in challenging applications such as dairy, meat, poultry, bread, and other foods with high product effect.
The Sentinel 5000 model is the first multi-scan metal detection platform to scan a combination of up to five user-selectable frequencies to find all random sizes, shapes, and types of metal foreign objects. Sentinel 5000 identifies contaminants that are up to 50% smaller in volume than the Thermo ScientificTM APEX 500 metal detector, and has the same dimensions and conveyor mounting for easy upgrade. The Sentinel 5000 can be used in a metal detection-checkweighing combination system, but due to its size must be mounted on a standalone infeed conveyor.
Standard Features•Frequency Range 50 to 1000 kHz, multi-scan runs up to five frequencies•Easy-to-use touchscreen with new Auto learn function to quickly optimize set-up•Detailed graphical displays for phase, rejects, quality test, and detection thresholds to enable easy fine tuning and troubleshooting•IP69K for severe washdown and dust, eliminating repair costs•All electronics are integral, making mounting easy and flexible•All balance functions are implemented in software, so no need for manual, hardware rebalance in the field•Wide ambient temperature range assuring reliability•FE, non-Fe and 316 SS test pieces included to fit specific application•In combos, the user interface is available on the metal detector AND the checkweigher screens
